Badminton: From Ang Mo Kio to Penang, Loh Kean Yew’s household cheers youngest on at world champs

PENANG – In a single storey terrace home within the residential Jelutong suburb of George City, Grace Gan and Loh Pin Keat are a bundle of nerves of their lounge.

On the tv display screen in entrance of them, their son Kean Yew is inside touching distance of capturing badminton’s world championship and a spot in Singapore’s sporting historical past.
