Biden Administration to Redirect Rental-Help Funds to Areas With Better Demand

WASHINGTON—The Treasury Division is redirecting rental-assistance cash from some states and localities that haven’t used the majority of their funds to others going through backlogs of assist requests, in response to administration officers.

The officers stated they couldn’t specify which jurisdictions would lose and achieve funds. However they stated these with massive quantities of unused funds embrace rural states—like Montana and North Dakota—whereas native officers in a number of extra populous states—like New York and Texas—are anticipated to exhaust their rental-assistance cash over the approaching week and months.
