Chegg Deserves a Pass – WSJ

Study-materials provider Chegg aced the pandemic last year as many students moved to online learning for the first time. But maintaining high grades is proving tough.

The company’s shares tanked 45% on Tuesday after it reported worse-than-expected revenue and subscriber numbers for the third quarter. After 18 consecutive quarters of exceeding Wall Street’s top-line expectations, the disappointment seems to have struck investors particularly hard.
