Denver police arrest man they are saying tried to stab them

Police stated no officers have been harm within the incident close to Washington Park.

DENVER — A person has been arrested after making an attempt to stab cops with a knife close to Washington Park Saturday, the Denver Police Division (DPD) stated.

DPD stated they obtained a report of a disturbance within the space of East Virginia Avenue and South Franklin Road at round 12:30 p.m. That is simply north of the park.

Police stated after they obtained there, they discovered a person in a car who was screaming. When officers tried to contact him he jumped out and and tried to assault them, based on DPD.

Nobody was harm, police stated, and he obtained again within the car and locked the doorways.

The officers then referred to as in SWAT to assist. They used a pepper ball to get him out of the automotive and arrest him, based on police.
