New wave of Taiwanese eateries in S’pore heats up meals scene

SINGAPORE – A brand new wave of Taiwanese cafes and eateries is making Taiwanese fare fashionable right here – from Eat 3 Bowls’ braised pork stomach rice to Abundance’s elevated model of evening market snack Gua Bao (Taiwanese model of braised pork stomach bun).

The development is fuelled by new entrants resembling Isshin Machi, which opened its first outlet in East Coast Highway in November 2020 and now has 4 retailers. A fifth is slated to open in Punggol in March.
