TOKYO (REUTERS) – Sofia Pozdniakova of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) won gold in the individual women’s sabre fencing competition on Monday (July 26).

Sofya Velikaya, also of the ROC, took silver, and Manon Brunet of France claimed bronze.

Hong Kong’s Cheung Ka Long of Hong Kong won gold in the individual men’s foil fencing competition on Monday.

Daniele Garozzo of Italy took silver and Czech Republic’s Alexander Choupenitch claimed bronze.
