OPEC, Russia Stick to Gradual Oil Production Boost

OPEC and a group of Russia-led producers agreed to keep to their gradual, monthly increase in oil output, deciding to boost production by 400,000 barrels a day next month, delegates said Thursday, rebuffing stepped-up pressure from the U.S. to boost output and ease prices.

This week at a climate change summit in Scotland, President Biden asked cartel members to open the taps, blaming tight supplies for higher oil and U.S. gasoline prices.
