PH weightlifter Fernando Agad reveals promise in first worldwide meet

MANILA, Philippines—Filipino Fernando Agad confirmed a glimpse of his potential in his first main competitors.

Agad completed eighth general in a 17-man area within the males’s -55kg on the Worldwide Weightlifting Federation (IWF) World Championships on Wednesday in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The 19-year-old Cebuano native had a complete carry of 239kg, 108kg in snatch and 131kg within the clear and jerk.
