LOS ANGELES – The so-called Korean wave, or surge in the global popularity of South Korean culture, has seen a slew of K-dramas gaining international fans.

South Korean television comedies have travelled less well, but a new sitcom on Netflix, So Not Worth It, may be better equipped to bridge any “lost in translation” gap by virtue of its setting: a Seoul university dormitory full of international students with multicultural backgrounds.
