Mandiant Inc.

for $23 a share in an all-cash deal valued at about $5.4 billion, together with Mandiant’s web money.

The acquisition worth represents a 2.3% premium to Monday’s closing worth of $22.49 for Mandiant however is almost 53% above the Reston, Va., firm’s closing worth of $15.06 on Feb. 7, earlier than revealed stories emerged that

Microsoft Corp.

was circling Mandiant. Google stated the acquisition of Mandiant, slated to shut later this 12 months, would complement the safety strengths of its Google Cloud enterprise.

Shares of Mandiant slipped 3.2% in premarket buying and selling to $21.78.
