Antitrust Invoice Focusing on Amazon, Google, Apple Will get Assist From DOJ

WASHINGTON—The Justice Division Monday endorsed laws forbidding giant digital platforms corresponding to Amazon and Google from favoring their very own services and products over rivals’, marking the Biden administration’s first full-throated assist of the antitrust measure.

“The Division views the rise of dominant platforms as presenting a menace to open markets and competitors, with dangers for shoppers, companies, innovation, resiliency, world competitiveness, and our democracy,” says a letter to bipartisan leaders of the Senate Judiciary Committee, signed by Peter Hyun, the Justice Division’s performing assistant legal professional common for legislative affairs.
