U.S. stock futures crept higher Thursday, a day after data showed that inflation had hit a three-decade high, adding to investors’ concerns about price pressures in the global economy.
S&P 500 futures strengthened 0.2% and Dow Jones Industrial Average futures traded flat. Changes in equity futures don’t necessarily predict movements after the opening bell. On Wednesday, the benchmark S&P 500 index, the blue-chip Dow Jones Industrial Average and the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite all fell.
