FBI raids dwelling of Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters

The FBI carried out a court-ordered search of Peters’ dwelling in Mesa County early Tuesday morning, leaving her “terrified,” Peters stated.

MESA COUNTY, Colo. — Federal, state and native authorities searched the houses of Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters and three of her associates on Tuesday as a part of an investigation into accusations the elected official was concerned in voting machine safety breaches, in line with an official who helped conduct the searches.

The FBI carried out a court-ordered search of Peters’ dwelling in Mesa County early Tuesday morning, leaving her “terrified,” Peters stated Tuesday night time in an look on Lindell TV, a web-based channel run by MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, a Trump supporter and proponent of discredited claims the 2020 election was stolen.

“We executed 4 federally court-authorized operations immediately to assemble proof in reference to the investigation into the Mesa County clerk and recorders workplace,” DA Dan Rubenstein advised Colorado Politics. “We did so with help from the DA’s workplace from the twenty first judicial district, the lawyer normal’s workplace and the FBI.”

He added that one of many searches occurred in neighboring Garfield County.

Lindell stated one of many houses raided by regulation enforcement authorities belongs to Sherronna Bishop, a Garfield County resident and former marketing campaign supervisor for U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert.
