TORONTO — Ontario Premier Doug Ford is inviting the prime minister to a summit on housing affordability.
Ford made the request in a letter to Justin Trudeau on Friday, saying he wants the federal authorities’s assist to sort out the rising value of house possession.
The assembly with Ford, Municipal Affairs Minister Steve Clark and the mayors and regional chairs of massive cities is ready for Dec. 16.

Ford says his purpose for the summit is to work on options to deal with the “disaster” of housing affordability so extra households can change into owners.
Along with the summit, Ontario’s Progressive Conservative authorities has stated it’s launching a housing affordability process power that may even look into the difficulty.
A spokeswoman for Trudeau didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.
