Household of lady shot on Rust set sues actor Alec Baldwin for wrongful demise

LOS ANGELES (AFP) – The household of a girl shot by Alec Baldwin on the set of the film Rust sued the US actor on Tuesday (Feb 15), claiming “substantial” damages for her wrongful demise.

Baldwin was holding a Colt gun throughout a rehearsal for the Western being filmed in New Mexico in October when it discharged a dwell spherical, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

At a press convention on Tuesday, lawyer Brian Panish alleged the “reckless conduct and cost-cutting measures” of Baldwin and the opposite Rust producers had led to Hutchins’ demise.
