Apple Sues Israeli Agency NSO Over Adware, Claiming iPhone Hacks

Apple Inc. has sued NSO Group, an Israeli maker of surveillance software program, alleging the corporate misused its services, escalating a battle over surveillance and consumer privateness.

The lawsuit alleges that NSO Group engaged in “concerted efforts in 2021 to focus on and assault Apple clients, Apple merchandise and servers and Apple by harmful malware and spyware and adware,” and seeks to bar NSO Group from utilizing Apple’s merchandise.
