GOLDEN, Colo. — A mountaineering path at Golden Gate Canyon State Park has been renamed for Colorado’s second state music.
Colorado Gov. Jared Polis (D) renamed the Mountain Lion Path at Golden Gate Canyon State Park as “Rocky Mountain Excessive Path.”
Polis’ workplace made the renaming announcement Wednesday in honor of the fiftieth anniversary of John Denver’s music “Rocky Mountain Excessive.”
