A man was killed in an apparent shooting in the area of Monaco Parkway and 36th Avenue Monday afternoon, according to police.
DENVER — Police are investigating after a man died of an apparent gunshot wound in the Northeast Park Hill area of Denver Monday afternoon.
Police said it happened around 3:30 p.m. off Monaco Parkway near the intersection with 36th Avenue. The victim died on the scene, according to police. His name has not yet been released.
Police are investigating the man’s death as a homicide.
Police said no arrests have been made, and no suspect information was immediately available. They said there is no threat to the public.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation.
From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
