Derrick Lewis defeated Chris Daukaus by knockout within the first spherical of their heavyweight principal occasion Saturday evening at UFC Struggle Night time in Las Vegas.
By stopping Daukaus by way of punches at 3:36 of the opening spherical, Lewis ascended to No. 1 all-time in knockouts in UFC with 13.
“Feels actual good,” Lewis stated. “All I needed to do was preserve transferring ahead.”
Lewis improves to 26-8 after dropping to Ciryl Gane by knockout in August.
Daukaus falls to 12-4 within the ultimate UFC Struggle Night time of 2021.
In earlier motion, Belal Muhammad defeated Stephen Thompson by unanimous determination of their three-round welterweight bout. Muhammad (20-3) took the playing cards 30-26, 30-26, 30-25.
