MESA COUNTY, Colo. — The state’s Impartial Ethics Fee voted 4-0 Tuesday to proceed on a criticism believed to be towards Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters.
The criticism alleges Peters accepted aircraft rides and different items in extra of the state present restrict of $65 from MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell. Lindell stated in an Aug. 23 video that he flew Peters on his personal aircraft to a cyber symposium on election fraud.
Within the video, Lindell talks to Peters, stating, “Sorry your resort was damaged into. We’ll get you to a greater place and get you some safety.” Complainant Anne Landman stated that infers that Lindell is paying for her housing and safety.
It seems that Peters “has accepted, and is continuous to simply accept hundreds of {dollars} price of providers, journey, safety and favors from Mr. Lindell in violation of the Colorado Structure,” the criticism states.
Landman informed Colorado Politics in September she responded to extra questions from the fee about her criticism, which continues to be confidential beneath fee guidelines, though it should now turn into public because the fee determined it’s non-frivolous.
