Foo Fighters cancel upcoming tour dates after demise of Taylor Hawkins – Nationwide

Within the wake of the demise of drummer Taylor Hawkins, the Foo Fighters introduced that they may cancel all of their upcoming tour dates.

“We’re sorry for and share within the disappointment that we received’t be seeing each other as deliberate,” the band wrote in an announcement shared to Twitter on Tuesday.

“As an alternative, let’s take this time to grieve, to heal, to tug our family members shut, and to understand all of the music and recollections we’ve made collectively.”

Hawkins, 50, was discovered useless over the weekend whereas on a South American tour with the band.

Foo Fighters had been scheduled to play at a pageant in Bogota, Colombia, on Friday night time. Hawkins’ closing live performance was the earlier Sunday at one other pageant in San Isidro, Argentina.

Hawkins joined the Dave Grohl-led group in 1997 after authentic drummer William Goldsmith left, making him one of many longest-serving members of the 28-year-old band.

He was Alanis Morissette’s touring drummer when he joined Foo Fighters, and performed on a few of the band’s greatest albums together with One by One and In Your Honor.

In Grohl’s 2021 e book The Storyteller, he referred to as Hawkins his “brother from one other mom, my greatest pal, a person for whom I might take a bullet.”
