Highschool musical theatre honored at 2022 Bobby G Awards

The Bobby G Awards are the Tony’s of highschool musical theatre in Colorado.

DENVER — The perfect in Colorado highschool musical theatre have been honored Thursday night time on the eighth annual Bobby G Awards.

After a 2020 digital celebration and a 2021 hiatus, the Denver Heart for the Performing Arts (DCPA) welcomed the ceremony again to the Ellie Caulkins Opera Home.

The Bobby G Awards honor Colorado college students and educators within the areas of efficiency, design, course, choreography, musical course, orchestration, technical manufacturing, and total manufacturing excellence. 

This 12 months, 41 taking part productions have been evaluated in 18 Colorado counties.

Greater than 3,500 college students have been evaluated, 552 of which participated in workshops held by DCPA Instructing Artists. Out of the 41 taking part colleges, 29 acquired nominations, stated DCPA.
