New programme to coach secondary faculty college students on secure cyber habits within the works

SINGAPORE – About 100,000 college students will likely be taught secure cyber habits by way of an upcoming programme to be carried out in secondary colleges right here.

Titled the Surf Secure Marketing campaign, the programme is a collaboration between cyber safety agency Acronis and non-profit organisation Cyber Youth Singapore.

A memorandum of understanding to develop the programme was signed by representatives from each organisations on Monday (Jan 17).

The programme is slated to run for 3 years and interact about 50,000 college students inside the first two years.

It goals to coach the scholars on points akin to cyber bullying, the significance of browsing the web safely and having a robust password.

The programme will likely be carried out in colleges by Cyber Youth Singapore, and will likely be tailor-made for every faculty, to go well with its wants and studying goals.

The Secure Surf Marketing campaign is supported by the Digital for Life motion, which goals to equip Singaporeans with digital abilities and assist bridge the digital divide.
