NHL, gamers’ affiliation announce 4-day shutdown ending Boxing Day – Nationwide

The NHL and the Nationwide Hockey League Gamers’ Affiliation have introduced the suspension of all operations from Wednesday to Christmas Day amid a rise of constructive COVID-19 exams.

All group amenities will likely be closed till Boxing Day, the league and gamers’ affiliation introduced in a joint assertion Monday evening.

The choice will lead to 5 extra NHL video games being postponed. Video games are scheduled to renew subsequent Monday.

“Beneath the revised schedule, Dec. 22, Dec. 23, Dec. 24 and Dec. 25 (Christmas Day) shall be off days for all functions — together with journey,” the gamers’ affiliation mentioned in a press release.

“Gamers will report again to their Golf equipment on Dec. 26.”
