DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. — The Douglas County Sheriff’s Workplace (DCSO) honored fallen Deputy Joe Pollack, who died of COVID-19 final week.

The procession began on the Douglas County Fairgrounds, positioned at 500 Fairgrounds Street in Fort Rock. The procession continued on the next route:

•    Westbound Plum Creek Pkwy to northbound Interstate 25

•    I-25 north to E-470

•    E-470 to southbound Jordan Street

•    Jordan Street south to Southeast Christian Church

The Sheriff’s Workplace stated the northbound lanes of I-25 and the eastbound lanes of E-470 have been closed from 9:30 a.m. till the procession was clear. The street has since been reopened. 

Over his profession with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Workplace, Pollack received two Medals of Valor. Throughout the service, Sheriff Spurlock posthumously awarded Pollack the third Medal of Valor for his actions throughout the Stem Faculty Highlands Ranch capturing in 2019.
