Singapore’s anti-SMS spoofing registry to close and get replaced by new system

SINGAPORE – The unique Singapore registry that allow listed organisations shield their manufacturers from being misused in SMS for scams might be shut down from Monday (March 7) in a shock transfer.

All main retail banks and authorities businesses in Singapore have been required to get on the Singapore SMS SenderID Safety Registry pilot, within the wake of current SMS phishing scams concentrating on OCBC Financial institution prospects.
