Princess Superal birdied the 53rd hole on Friday to shoot a seven-under-par 65 and win the ICTSI Ladies Sherwood Hills Challenge by a shot over Chanelle Avaricio as overnight leader Harmie Constantino faded.

Gearing up for the Japan Step Up Tour later in the year, Superal gunned down eight birdies in a sizzling display of scoring to tally 208 over the windswept layout in Trece Martires and win a second leg in the local tour’s restart.

After two 72s, Avaricio returned a career-best 65 in an earlier flight and actually held the clubhouse lead before Superal hit a 6-iron from 160 yards for her approach on the par-4 17th that resulted in the marginal birdie.

Constantino, who held a one-shot lead entering the final day after a second round 68, matched par 72 and finished six shots off Superal, with Chihiro Ikeda, the first round leader, shooting a second straight 73 to finish at 216.

Superal won P112,000 out of the P750,000 pot with three more legs in the next four weeks up.
