SAN JOSE, Calif.—Theranos Inc. founder Elizabeth Holmes conceded Tuesday that she has many regrets about how she responded to criticisms of her blood-testing firm, as prosecutors questioned her straight for the primary time since they charged her with legal fraud greater than three years in the past.
The cross-examination by Assistant U.S. Lawyer Robert Leach marked a pivotal second in Ms. Holmes’s monthslong trial, permitting the federal government to attempt to choose aside the narrative she has given to jurors throughout her time on the stand as a devoted entrepreneur who tried to make her firm succeed.
