U.S. Jobless Claims Attain 52-Yr Low

Jobless claims fell sharply to 199,000 final week, the bottom stage in 52 years, marking a milestone within the labor market’s restoration from the results of pandemic.

Employee filings for preliminary unemployment advantages, a proxy for layoffs, dropped 71,000 within the week ended Nov. 20 from the prior week, the Labor Division reported Wednesday.
